Centrale24 is an organisation specialized in providing healthcare services through various online facilities, enabling their customers to live in the comfort of their own home for a longer period of time. The goal was to design a service for the relatives of older adults, with which they can share updates with older adults,
without having to physically visit them.

Close.ly is an online service with which relatives can create a personal family newspaper for an older adult in their family. Through an intuitive smartphone application or our web platform, the entire family can choose which content sources get used to automatically fill the digital newspaper. With this service, relatives can increase an older adult’s feeling of companionship, connecting family members by keeping them updated.

Once an edition is filled with fun stories to keep an older adult in your family up to date, the newspaper is published and Close.ly takes care of printing and shipping.

I was able to use methods such as a customer journey mapping, open interviews, advice interviews, user testing prototypes with varying ranges of fidelity, as well as mind mapping. Additionally, I had to manage the stakeholders and apply my knowledge of business thinking and marketing strategies to steer the concept.
